Wild City
One of the cities that is expanding the quickest in the world is Singapore. It was once a dense tropical rainforest, but today its 665 square kilometers are covered in concrete and air conditioning. But tucked away in the middle of all that urban development is a wild side; there are locations where pangolins, crocodiles, monkeys, otters, snakes, and hornbills coexist peacefully with skyscrapers and boardwalks. This series, which is narrated by Sir David Attenborough, investigates how the natural world has developed inside the confines of a bustling metropolis. It then travels around the island's hidden wildlife hotspots – from the overlooked interior to the inaccessible coastline and islands that have become unplanned sanctuaries for Singapore's natural heritage. Wild City presents a wide variety of habitats that can be found in and around the built-up urban sprawl in Singapore.
