The Samurai
The Samurai is just a ancient fiction television series made by Senkosha Productions through early 1960s. Its original Japanese name was Onmitsu Kenshi. The series premiered in 1962 and ran until 1965 for ten story arcs, usually of 13 episodes each. Also created were two black feature movies from Toei Company, made in 1964 by precisely exactly the crew that includes established the TV set, and a point show.
The Samurai proved to be very successful despite its funding. This was the 1st television app screened in Australia, where it established in 1964 and built up an amazingly large fanbase among the community crowd at the moment, fast becoming a cult favourite. Despite the popularity in Australia as well as success in Japan, New Zealand and the Philippines, the series wasn't widely screened everywhere along with its fame remains restricted to all those nations.
This was followed by the spin off series The New Samurai, comprising an entirely new major character, that was cancelled after just 39 episodescompared to 128 episodes of the series. Back in 1973, there has been a coloring television series made for 26 episodes at an abortive attempt of a movie and then a reboot that was short-lived. Takeda Pharmaceutical sponsored all the TV series.
