The Games Has Been an mockumentary television Show about the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. The show was originally broadcast over the ABC and also had 2 seasons of 13 episodes each, first in 1998 and the second in 2000.
'The Games' starred satirists John Clarke and Bryan Dawe alongside Australian comedian Gina Riley and actor Nicholas Bell. It had been written by John Clarke and Ross Stevenson. The show centred to the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and satirised corruption and cronyism at the Olympic movement ineptness from the New South Wales public company, and behaviour within politics and the media. An odd feature of the show was the characters shared the exact identical name while the celebrities who played with , to enhance the illusion of a documentary over the Sydney Games.
